As standards evolve, our performance has to evolve, too. That’s why we were so pleased to successfully upgrade our ISO 20000 version 2005 UK certification to ISO 20000 version 2011. This is the most up-to-date edition of the IT Service Management System standard. Our achievement shows that our management system continues to meet our objectives and conform to international expectations.
So what is ISO 20000 and why is it important? This standard lets companies like ours make sure that our IT service management processes are aligned with the needs of the business, our customers and international best practices. It’s a joint certification by the ISO (the International Standards Organization) and the IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission).
Agfa HealthCare UK first achieved the certification in September 2010. In May 2013, we were audited against the updated version 2011. No non-conformity issues were found, so we received our upgraded recertification.
The new certificate supports us in assuring our customers that we can provide them with the agreed level of service, in fulfilling tender requirements and differentiating ourselves in our market, and in maintaining a clear internal understanding of the responsibilities of IT service staff. So customers, employees and our company overall can experience a greater sense of satisfaction with our IT service management.
